Krishna Palace has stood in Jaipur's walled old city since 1932, built as a private haveli for a family of court jewellers and opened as a hotel by their grandchildren in 1988. Three generations later it remains family-run — the same family that restored its frescoed courtyard, re-laid its sandstone floors, and still greets returning guests by name.
Thirty-two rooms sit around two courtyards, shaded by neem trees and lit by hand-blown lanterns after dusk. Nothing about the palace is meant to feel new; everything in it is meant to feel looked after.
